Letter to My Patients

Thank you to all the patients who have emailed me about your continued success improving your health under the care of my associates.  Your reports confirm the effectiveness of the fine care our associates are providing.

A few patients have expressed concern over seeing someone other than me. When my associates sit down to practice medicine, part of me is always present represented by many hours of knowledge from teaching, training, and exchanging information about hundreds of cases. This is the basis for our clinical success for over 30 years of seeing the most complex conditions, all of us working together to give the best possible quality and highest level of integrative health care.

Please find below a brief introduction for each of my associates. I have complete confidence in their brilliant and compassionate clinical work, which I observed on a daily basis, for all of our patients, including many members of my immediate family.

Chinese Herbs

Oriental medicine includes the use of Chinese herbs, acupuncture, diet, nutrition, breathing exercises, and meditation. Modern laboratory research in China, Japan, and the United States confirm the beneficial effects of Chinese herbal medicines. Clinical studies demonstrate the ability of specific herbs to improve immune system function, and provide antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antitumor effects. Our herbal prescriptions are custom formulated for our patients at each office visit. We maintain a comprehensive database of scientific information on herbal medicines that is updated on a daily basis with online searches from the National Library of Medicine.

Acupuncture relieves pain and stimulates healing by applying needles to specific points that regulate the function of the internal organs. Acute cases may respond in a few visits, whereas chronic problems may require more. All our needles are disposable single use only for maximum safety.

Excess sugar and fat, rather than deficiencies of vitamins and minerals cause chronic illness and weaken immunity. To reduce risk of heart disease, cancer, and diabetes we recommend a zero dairy, low sugar diet emphasizing whole grains, cooked vegetables, and small amounts of fresh fruit.
